Cibes acquires 100% of Austrian partner

In 2018, Cibes Lift Group invested in Austrian partner GS-Aufzüge GmbH and Cibes was added to the company name. Now Cibes Lift Group acquires 100% of the shares of the company to reinforce their position in Austria and the German speaking countries.

Over the past decade, Cibes Lift Group has experienced tremendous growth on the Austrian market, especially in the home lift segment. Today, Austria is one of the key European markets for Cibes Lift Group.

The acquisition of GS-Aufzüge Cibes GmbH and the recent foundation of German subsidiary Cibes Lift Deutschland GmbH, fortifies the position of Cibes Lift Group on the German speaking markets.

“Strengthening our presence in the German speaking countries will bring us closer to our customers and enable us to offer even more efficient and proactive customer support, tailored to the needs of each market. We are also hoping to see positive synergy effects from a closer cooperation between our Austrian and German teams”, Chris Roggeband continues.

Cibes Lift Group acquired full ownership of GS-Aufzüge Cibes GmbH on the 7th of January 2020. Company founder Robert Gründlinger will remain as Managing Director of GS-Aufzüge Cibes GmbH and continue to develop the Austrian market for Cibes Lift Group together with his team.
